Windows Defender Bugcheck

I installed Windows Defender yesterday and got a bugcheck on my manualscan.
I have it set to scan in the morning and it got another bugcheck duringthat>
scan this morning. The information is the same in both cases: The bugcheck
was: 0x1000007f (0x00000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000,> 0x00000000). A dump was
saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini032306-01.dmp>

Not sure if this is the correct group to post in but wondering what the
cause might be. Running XP Professional SP2. System has 2GB Memory. The
failure is consistent.

Thanks.

I have four mini-dumps and a text file in a zip file however I'm not sure how
to get it to Microsoft. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Can you tell from the event log entries whether these files are getting
submitted to Microsoft's OCA crash analyis center?

You can go to https://oca.microsoft.com but I can never figure out how to
actually submit crash data from that page.

I can pass it on in a more direct way, but I suspect if you can get them
submitted to the crash analysis center it might work better.

I emailed the zip file to your email. I went to the OCA page and there is no
information on how to upload a file that I can find. For now I think I'll
deinstall it. It's not worth the effort. Lavasoft, Spybot, McAffe firewall
don't give me this grief. And the Microsoft Antispyware never had a problem
either although I can't say that it ever found anything.
