Windows Defender - Bugcheck

Guest

I installed Windows Defender yesterday and got a bugcheck on my manual scan.
I have it set to scan in the morning and it got another bugcheck during that
scan this morning. The information is the same in both cases:
The bugcheck was: 0x1000007f (0x00000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000,
0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini032306-01.dmp
Not sure if this is the correct group to post in but wondering what the
cause might be. Running XP Professional SP2. System has 2GB Memory. Thanks.

Here is a link to Defender's help group where you might get a better answer.

My advice: Uninstall the program. Who needs the frustration?
Wait until it comes out of beta.

If you still want to persist with Defender, follow the other
posters advice. Good, luck.

Contact the Author of the program for the fix as it's a BETA program.
