Windows Defender Bugcheck

On every scan defender will cause a bugcheck with the following information:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000007f
(0x00000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in:
C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini032206-01.dmp.

I removed and I'm in the process of reinstalling to see if it makes a
difference.
