Windows Cummulative Patch MS03-040

Hi,

I am running WindowsXP and use IE6 as a browser. When I
try to download the newest patch - MS03-40 - the folowing
error message pops up
"This update requires IE6 to be installed"

It is...what's happening?

Are you downloading it manually, or via Windows Update?

I had the same issue. Download the update from Windows Update, it will
determine the correct version for your system. The manual download page can
be confusing. I downloaded the version for IE6 for Windows XP, and got the
same error as you. Tried the IE6 SP1 download and it installed fine. Not
sure it was the right version, but it did install
