When I restore a backed up file I get a message "Could
not open C:(file name) because the file is locked.
Use "Properties" command in the Windows Explorer to
unlock the files.

I have searched Windows Explorer and cannot find
the "Properties" command. Can someone help me?

Thanks

You ge tthe "Properties" dialogue by right clicking the
drive and looking down the bottom of the popup menu that
comes up. I suspect that it may be reffering to the file
attributes, are the files you're trying to replace read-
only?

If you're using XP Pro, add yourself to the "Backup Operator" group. Right
click My Computer and select Manage. Under "Local Users and Groups"
you'll find Groups. Backup Operators is in the list of available account
types.
