Windows Address Book

Susan

I currently use the Address Book (v6.0.2800.1106)
accessory with Windows 2000 (v5.0) to send e-mails to
multiple recipients. My "contacts" are stored are a WAB
file.
I need a version of the Address Book (or similar software)
that has more features...like the ability to select
addresses from recipients in multiple folders (when
sending them the same e-mail), and the ability to see more
than 3 fields about a contact at a time, or choose from
various e-mail addresses from within the same contact.
Creating a couple of new fields would be nice.
Can someone offer a suggestion for a software package
(or "Adress Book" upgrade) or point me to a newsgroup/site
that might cover this.
Thanks,
Susan

Tried that...despite awkwardness of changing a WAB file to
a PST file, and losing all my folders.
Any other suggestions. I'm not keen on Outlook in this
case.
Much appreciated.

I don't know of anything that will work with OE. You can export from WAB to
PST file pretty easily, I think - don't know about folders.

I generally don't use subfolders in Outlook anyway - I prefer use categories
to filter/view, as I may have a contact who belongs in more than one group.

For OE questions, you're best off in an OE group - or try the excellent
resource at www.tomsterdam.com

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
