Windows 2000 Pro keeps restarting when logging in

Hi!
The O.S. is a Win2k pro.
When i've the dialog box to log in, i fill it (as administrator) and press
ok to log in but instead of login the machine just retarts!

Can someone please help me?

Restarts or just goes back to the logon box?

You can either log on as another user and see if that works

You can boot from your CD go past the F8 acept Licence part and let windows
do a repair (you will have to reinstall some apps)

There is another long winded method relating to a virus found on this page
at the bottom

look at the thread by tyusbc I haven't tried this but it sounds right.
