2nd Request: Restart Problem

Windows 2000 Server w/ SP4. After successfully connecting two (2)
external hard disk drives via USB 2.0 for data backup (which works
just fine), I have found that server restarts result in an "unstable"
restart. The main symptom is that when I login as Administrator, all
of the desktop icons fail to appear. If the machine is restarted
without the USB drives connected, all seems well. I would like to
correct this situation. Any ideas? Tnx!

Dear Bob,

I same happened with me when i tried to put two additional IDE disk on
the server. I think it has to do something with the power supply. I
upgraded the SMPS and now it is working fine.

I think my situation is different. These are external, USB connected
drives and each has its own AC power adapter.
