window defender not updating

DEAR ALL,

I HAVE INSTALLED WD ON WINDOWS xp sp2 COMPUTER. WHEHNEVER I TRIED TO UPDATE
MY WINDOW DEFENDER i m getting error message .

"window defender was unable to completed update 0x8024400a "

please get me soultion if anybody knows.

Is this occuring in a corporate environment or on a home system/network?

Is there a WSUS server on the network?
