i have a problem with my windows 2000. i have setup windows me on my
computer (on c partition). then because i need to train on windows 2000 for
some time i have setup an arabic enabled edition. itried the upgrade edition
but didn't couldn't have it setup, so i choosed a clean setup choice in the
windows 2000 setup progress (on c partition also) . i have fortunately the
choice between windows 2000 and me. i don't need windows 2000 no more
because i finished my training. my question is that if there is a way to
uninstall windows 2000 safely without causing windows me problems.
i setup windows me arabic enabled first
i setup windows 2000 arabic enabled ( clean setup not upgrade)
i want to uninstall windows 2000 only without problems and remain windows me
work properly.

you will first log in to windows me
then delete the windows 2000 folders
which should be
winnt ( windows 2000 directory )
documents and settings
dont delete program files because its shared between the both
operating systems
then open run menu from start menu
type command
then press enter
then type
attrib -a -s -r -h c:\boot.ini
then close the DOS session
then open the notepad
from file menu choose open
then write c:\boot.ini
then edit it to be like this one
*******************************************************
[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=c:\
[operating systems]
C:\"Microsoft Windows"
*******************************************************
don't delete any other files like ntldr.exe or ntdetect.exe or
autoexec.bat,....etc
