I just received the update last night. I need to free up space on my hard
drive. I just tried to uninstall Microsoft Picture 2000 and I am not able to
unistall. I receive the following error message "Error 1606 could not acess
location:"::\Documents & Settings\All Users\Desktop" Anyone know how can I
fix this, so I can uninstall the program, which is using over 1gb on my hard
drive?

Hi

You might find something in this newsgroup search:

To free up space you could take a look here as well:

For folders you can consider deleting and other disk cleanup tips
after a successful SP2 installation, take a look here:

I read the instructions on the Google site you refered to regarding cleaning
up after a SP2 install. However, I was only able to locate
$windir$NTServicePackUninstall$\ and $windir$\NTuninstall* for SP1. I was
not able to locate the folds %windir%\$xpsp1hfm$\ or
%windir%\$NtUninstallQ<some#>$\ or %windir%\$ntUninstallKB<some#>$\. Or are
these folders referring to all the previous updates to XP?

Hi

Yes, %windir%\$xpsp1hfm$\, %windir%\$NtUninstallQ<some#>$\ and
%windir%\$ntUninstallKB<some#>$\ is for previous updates to XP.
