Win XP Pro 'Recovery Console' and SP2 Problem

Guest

Hi all,
I have tried to install 'Recovery Console' by inserting my original XP Pro
cd into my CDROM (e:) and from the from the 'Start', 'Run', command type
'e:\i386\winnt32.exe/cmdcons', and click OK, but I get the error statement
saying that:-

"Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is
newer than the version on the CD".

This is because I have installed 'SP2' which obviously is an upgrade to Win
XP Pro so has anyone any idea how I install 'Recovery Console' or do I have
to uninstall 'SP2' to be able to do it?

A solution would be most gratefully accepted...

Keep in mind, you can still run the Recovery Console by booting
from your XP installation CD. If you want to have the Recovery
Console as a startup option then you're going to have to create
what's called a "slipstreamed" installation CD.

Create a Slip Stream version of Windows XP

Here are some of the files you'll need to obtain in order to
follow this procedure:
