WIN XP Fax

I cannot get the fax monitor to work. I tried to uncheck, then recheck the
properties - details with rebooting in between. I uninstalled, then
reinstalled, and it worked for 1 day, now it does not work. Any help
appreciated.

A number of standard update and repair procedures disabled the Fax Monitor
in the initial release of Windows XP. These problems were fixed in Service
Pack 1. Make sure you apply SP1 if you notice this problem.
