win X64 internet explorer

Well hello.
Ive had WinX64 for about a week now. And im impressed.
BUT, my internet explorer is messing up i think.
When I click on a new window on a site, any window, and a new window
appears, but when i click on it to close it, the old window im going back to
freezes.
And I cant shut it down.
I was wondering if I could re-install internet explorer on the Win X64?
And where I could get hold of a Internet explorer for the Win X64.
Or if its the same as for the Win XP home edition/ Win XP pro and so on.
Please help..its quite annoying.

Are you running the 32bit or 64bit IE 6.0. The same thing is happening to me
running either. I was thinking of updating the service packs but feel a
little leary.
Let me know if you find a solution.
