My fathers computer will not boot to Win 98Se anymore. I can get it to boot
to a DOS prompt and I have run diagnostic tools from Western Digital to
confirm there is nothing wrong with the drive. When windows tries to load
the machine just hangs right after the post screen. If I try and run
scandisk the machine freezes every time when trying to find crosslinked
files.
Does this mean that Windows is corrupt and I need to reinstall?
