Win 3.0 Game

S

Simon Potts

Many years ago I bought a game, Tower which ran happily on
Windows 3.0 etc. Then I upgraded to Windows 95. It still
ran happily.

However since I have upgraded to Windows 2000, this
program does not run. No error messages, just double click
and then nothing.

Is there a program in Windows 2000, application shell
setting or even something that I can download to run Tower
in for it to run?

Thanks in anticipation

That's a hard question to answer without knowing why it's failing. There
are a lot of games that just won't run on Windows 2000. Windows XP is
extremely more compatible with games in my experience but I don't know if
that would be an option for you or not. If you were really desperate to get
it to run you could always load up a program like Virtual PC and run a copy
of Windows 95 in a VM on your Windows 2000 computer. There's a performance
hit you suffer but if it's a Win3x application then I doubt that will be an
issue.
