will not take my system password

Can anyone help me? I've just installed Windows XP pro
and i am unable to log on to my computer. It prompted me
to change my system password during installation, but now
I am unable to log in with it. I was running Windows Me
before, and I didn't have a password to access it, i would
just hit cancel or enter and i was able to acess it. I
keep getting the error message "Have you forgotten you
password? Please re-enter your password" How can I find
it and get onto my computer???
