WIFI

I have a user who wishes to have a WIFI card on his laptop
so he can use wireless services whilst in airport lounges.
The users laptop will also be used in an office lan. Apart
from AV what else should I be looking at to beef up the
security on this users access to WIFI so that when he
brings his laptop on to this WIFIO network nothing stored
on his laptop can become compromised - a software firewall?

My first instinct is to say "no" but if that's not an option, I'd disable
Windows file sharing on the wireless adapter. A firewall would be a great
idea too... as long as it doesn't conflict with the workplace network when
he's in the office (you can usually tell it to only 'protect' a specific
network interface, in this case the wireless card.)

If the information on his laptop is truly sensitive, I hope you are using
some kind of data encryption on the hard drive. Either the Windows EFS
features or even better, a standalone product like Safeguard Easy. Laptops
have a tendency of getting lost/stolen...
