WIFI device on laptop (what is it called)

On my IBM T43 laptop. I'm trying to activate the WIFI device which is
built in to the computer. (using the OEM Dell XP installed). I know
there are a lot of yellow checked items in Device Manager, and I'm
slowly downloading drivers from Lenovo. I'm assuming one of them is
this WIFI device, and it's NOT called a modem. I'm lost.... What am I
looking for? I'm seeing drivers for Wireless Lan. Is that it? If it
is, then I have to figure out which one I have (another puzzle)....

If you don't see a Wifi in the list, it could
be one of the "unknown" devices.

The T43 drivers page, lists Intel PRO 2200bg and
2915abg Mini PCI adapter wireless software.

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-58597

Using this list

http://pciids.sourceforge.net/pci.ids

VEN=8086 is Intel, and the DEV of

4220 PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2] Network Connection
4223 PRO/Wireless 2915ABG [Calexico2] Network Connection

It's possible the same package does both.

I'd just try the latest package. 5.9MB

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/7ywc54ww.exe

The oldest one is easier for me to check. It's 18MB.

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/1ywc54ww.exe

The w29n51.INF file in the 18MB one lists:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_27018086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4223&SUBSYS_27018086

just to confirm the package matches the claimed mini-PCI
wifi cards in your machine.

The 5.9MB download, is INNO Setup and I can't read it.
It's probably supposed to do the same thing, but I
can't verify it.
