Can someone explain to me why I need Windows Office 2007 if all I'm doing is
using a word processor program, sending E-Mails from Outlook Express and
creating a monthly Newsletter???

You don't. In fact you don't need MS Office at all....

Why would you think that you might need it? It sounds like the only
component of it that you might use is Word 2007, and you certainly
have the alternative of using Word from an earlier version of Office,
or even using a completely different word processor, such as
WordPerfect or the word processor in Open Office.

It's not a matter of need, but it's your choice entirely as to which
software packages best meet your needs and fit your budget.

David;
In order to answer that question we would need more details such as:
What you are currently using.
What you need to do not provided in your current program.
What you expect to see improved

Details of your hardware
Etc.

If what you have now does what you need it to do safely and securely,
there is no reason to change.
By your short description, you may not need Office 2007.

Only if YOU can explain why you are asking here. This group is for
the XP OS, not Office.

Ask elsewhere.

If you need an explanation, then you probably aren't smart enough to
comprehend the replies.

This is a tough crowd....

You, the OP, probably don't need MS Office, unless
you stumble across some feature/function/requirement
that you need, and don't have.

And, even at that, contributing to the Open Office com-
munity will get you an Office substitute that is quite robust.

You don't need it. What makes you think you do?

You don't need any Microsoft Products, but they can make for some very
nice looking newsletter layouts if you know how to use them.

What you will need is a way to convert your newsletter to a PDF
(acrobat) file so that users will have a smaller and easier to view
document that will open on most all platforms.
