ok, i have been working with a javascript error, like, everytime in IE that i
click a link that opens in another window, IE lags and freezes, and then if
i wait, it will Not open the window, but the first window comes back with
messages in lower left with yellow triangle with a exclamation point! error
messages: error on page:
problems with this web page may keep it from displaying properly, when i
click details: Line 2 Char: 6433 Error: Server execution failed Code: 0 URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/reader.mspx?...
sometimes it says javascript instead of error on page
the reason i was able to submit this question is i have aol, and there is no
problem with accessing the pages from there clicking links that open in new
windows cause no problems, nor do i have a problem in msn browser...
i have no popup blocker, have disabled securitys, added site to allowed
list, lowered my security, and still have the problem

i have googled to the ends of the earth :p try'd this
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q180176/ ; rebooted and still it wont go, its
Only an IE prob, my aol browser, my msn browser... they work FINE, i dont
understand, but its a pita to have to be signed into aol to browse, Help!!

also i have found in my event viewer of system i have found eventID: 10010
The server {0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} did not register with DCOM
within the required timeout.

and to just add to the mayhem and confusion... if i Only use the IE browser
i DoNot have the problem, its only with Both aol and IE open that i get this!
i didNot use to get this!! before i could have IE open and surfing and my
aol for chatting, i doNot wish to lose Either or just make One my preferable
software, please help what is causing this?? how can i fix?

Its alot of trouble for nothing.... obviously there are differences in the
scripting engine for IE and the AOL browser (I think AOL uses netscape
tech.). Anyway may I suggest the easiest solution is to turn off the error
messages in IE... You probably have script debugging turn on to which is why
it appers to hang.. (probably don't have the debugger installed)
Open the Internet Options Control Panel (Tools/Internet Options menu) and
select the 'Advanced' tab. There you will find options to 'Display
notification about every script error' - uncheck this, and 'Disable script
debugging' - check this.

Hope it works for u.

...if i Only use the IE browser
i DoNot have the problem, its only with Both aol and IE open that i get
this!

Patient (demonstrating): "Doctor, it hurts when I do this!"
Doctor: "Don't do that."

Don't have an AOL browser window open when using IE. (The problem's with
AOL, not IE or Windows.)

not a viable option... aol is my isp, not running aol, means no access to
internet, and i want want to have access to IE because aol doesnt like
submitting forms... is there a way to fix the dcom error timeout??
