Why I cannot download POP3 emails?.

Some of my Outlook 2003 clients advise me about they cannot download POP3
emails, but they are able to retrieve their email trought IMAP or HTTP
protocols. I just delete one Inbox at my Exchange 2003 server and worked.
In other user i only configure his account for download the pop3 headers.
Then he deleted some emails and everything was ok since there. What happen
and How can I avoid this behaviour??

What errors are they getting? It could be a corrupt message.

FWIW, IMAP or HTTP is preferred over POP3 access to exchange - the user ca
see all the folders in the mailbox and won't accidentally clean out the mail
on the server.

Ok,
They are notified of how many emails they have on their own recipient inbox,
but just when the POP3 download starts, i mean: "downloading emails 1 from
25"; nothing happens and 2 minutes later they get: POP3 server communication
lost due time up. Something like that.

I re-create an inbox from one client and problem solved. Another client
only downloaded emails headers, delete four or five of them, and everything
ok so far.

I'm afraid from more clients showing the same trouble.

btw: thanks for answering so quickly...
