Why doesn't my autotext entries stay saved for future use?

I use Windows XP and have a 160gb hard drive. Whenever I enter an autotext my
program accepts only some of them. After I have shut down the computer and
start it again, I cannot find previously autotext entries that I have put in
from previous times. I hope this is clear - it is a bit hard to explain. Has
anyone else had this problem, it is very annoying.
