Why does Frontpage not respond when I'm trying to publish my site.

I've never had issues publishing my site in the past. I'm using tripod as my
host, and I've enabled frontpage extensions. When I click on the "publish
site" icon in Frontpage 2003, the page "locks up". sometimes i get as far as
putting in my tripod name and password, but it never goes any further than
that. Anyone have any ideas why?
