Why can't I get my photo's all in one place?

This is so frustrating. I have a palm, kodak camera & other photo's. They
seem to be located in all these different places, some multiply (in multiple
locations). When I access the desktop say to change the wallpaper, some
show, some do not. Private photo's show up, some shared photos show up, some
do not. I just want to know how to go agout organizing them consistantly
(not to mention I have no photos that can be considered private). Any help
would be appreciated.

You will have to direct each application where to save to.

organizer that will scan your computer for image files and help you to
organize them. It also helps if you do a little organizing on your own;
create folders for your pictures and direct your downloads and copy
operations to those folders.
