i believe my friend wh i let use my computer to check her email install
something on my computer that will send my email and copies of my instant
messaging activity to her email account automatically. is this possible? I
have seen evidence of this. she gave me her password for me to check
something in her mailbox and i ran across a file that said photos but it was
actually all my instant messaging history and i tested it by starting a
conversation with someone else on messanger and it would send it to her
account so it was an ongoing thing, always recording. (that was on an old
computer, but i think she did it again on my new computer) Is that why my
unread email count at sign on screen is much different that my actual unread
mail in my account. is thgat possibly her unread messages and my email and
hers are somehow connected secretly?

Before posting a new thread you must search newsgroup for the same. This can
save your and other times.

Download the TWEAKUI utility from the link below and install it.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP >
TweakUI. Expand "Logon" and uncheck "Show unread mail on Welcome screen".

Note: Unread message alerts may indicate you have unread messages not only
in Outlook Express, but Hotmail and/or MSN email accounts as
well.
