which refill ink for canon CLI-8?

T

Talal Itani

Based on my two previous posts, and the replies I received, I decided to
refill my CLI-8 cartridges, even the ink indicator would not function. I
would like to buy quality ink, and a quality kit. Please tell me what you
recommend.

Thank you.

Tala Itani,
I wish I knew. I'm still doing research on this topic. What I do
know is if you will get bias information because people make money off
this stuff. There's this guy called FRANK and my research is showing
he has a financial interest in hobbicolors. So his answer is bias.
Then there's Neilslade.com, however he GETS PAID for promoting
inkgrabber.com. Believe it or not, I'm doing a research on this board
and trying to figure out who all the members are that have financial
interest in giving out information to innocent people like you.

Stan
P.S. There are honest people on this board, I'm just trying to figure
out who they are.
PSS. There's also this guy name Measekite, he's a OEM ink advocate.
Don't take only his opinion on OEM ink, I know there's some quailty
after market ink somewhere.

My first experence was with hobbicolors. I can't say I was 100%
pleased with PG5 black, but the color was spot on.

I will be making the switch to www.inksupply.com. Their pigment black
I used in the past was most excelent.

As for a kit, the inksupply kit I bought for the ip3000 was minimal
but adquate. The blunt needles could have been longer. The
hobbicolors kit only had one syringe but a long needles. For caps,
i'd buy a #6 or #8 dill/tap set and some nylon screws same size.
drill out the ball, thread it, seal it.

Talal Itani,
As stated in my last post, I'm not sure if they have good quality
ink. However, you should be aware that the customer service person
name FRANK might cuss at you if you get him mad.

have absolutely nothing to do with. But of course you're just that dumb

CLI8 ink is a new Canon formula and nobody has legally duplicated it.
If your printload is normal then just use Canon ink.

LET ME RE-WRITE THE LAST LETTER TO CLARIFY IT....

Talal Itani,
As stated in my last post, I'm not sure if they have good quality
ink. However, you should be aware that the customer service person
name Dave (aka FRANK) might cuss at you if you get him mad.

Stan
PS. Frank (aka Dave) this is only my opinion, not a fact.

He might be right, but how good of a quality do you really want. If
it's not photo-quality, I'd still stay with after-market ink, (not
cartridges.) However, if you want photo-quality, then I don't know.

Talal Itani,

Although I don't like Frank, Dave, or Hobbicolor, I do admit that they
might sell some good stuff for Canon. The logic is if you look at
their website on Ebay, they only sale stuff for Canon. It makes me
feel that possibly (theory) that they did some research on this
product.

So if you are confused, I would recommended (opinion, not based on
fact) that hobbicolor has a good chance of selling good stuff since
they specialize in Canon.

Stan
PS. When I complete my research on this topic, I will do a
recommendation based on fact.
PSS, Frank (Dave), at least this proves that I'm not biased.

Talal Itani,

Here's a cut and paste from a old post, I think the guys is
unbiased.....

By the way, you asked about
refill inks that work well with Canon printers. The inks that have
been
recommended by people on this site that I trust are Formulabs from
Alotofthings, Hobbicolors, available from their store on ebay, and MIS
inks,
which are reputed to be Imaging Specialist inks.

Talal Itani,

Some guy recommended 3 companies in the past to me. I will give you
the name of 2 of them.

Specialist inks."

Stan
PS I haven't tested either one of these companies. I just heard.
