I am trying to add my hotmail account to Outlook 2003 but it asks me about
POP and SMTP. Does anyone know them?
Also do I need to logon using (SPA) Secure Password Authentication?

Thanks,

Juan

Hotmail doesn't use POP3 and SMTP, it uses HTTP, and only Outlook 2002 and
2003 support HTTP. However, if you are using a free Hotmail account,
Microsoft no longer allows you to connect Hotmail to Outlook or Outlook
Express. Only certain paid Hotmail and MSN e-mail accounts can be used with
Outlook and OE.

You don't need those for Hotmail. You add it as an HTTP mail account but you
need to have a paid Hotmail account if you want to use Outlook to access it.

I thank you very very much for your response. I am stuck I have a free
hotmail account. Too bad Microsoft changed their practices. I used to be able
to access it through Outlook in 2001[2002]
