What happened to MS Photo Editor?

I had a 16-month old Dell computer with XP Professional and
XP Office Professional. It was destroyed about a month ago
when lightning struck our house and wiped out my surge
protector. I have a new computer now with the latest
versions of both of those programs, but find that MS Photo
Editor is no longer included under "Office Tools". What
happened to it? Is there any way I can get it back with
the installation disks from my old computer? Thanks!

It's there, alright. Search your computer for photoed.exe and add it to the
Start menu.

Greetings --

Photo Editor is an optional component of Microsoft Office that
would not have gotten installed by default during a typical
installation. One must perform a customized installation and
deliberately add Photo Editor to the list of components to be
installed.

Insert the Office installation CD and, when it autostarts, elect
to add Office components.
