Weird Problem on XP Client

I have about 2.5 GB in about 7000 files on a XP
workstation connected to Windows 2000 server (SP3). When
I copy (using windows explorer) from XP machine to a
shard folder on server, its copying about 100 less files
to the server (without giving any error message) but if I
use the server machine to copy from XP machine, it works
fine. Any idea? I have also experienced other weird
issues with XP.
 
Look in the event logs on both PC using Event Viewer to see if any errors
are reported there.
