Web site will not open in Frontpage

I have a frontpage user who when they try to open up a website get the
following error message :

The folder "https://www.mywebsite.com" isn't accessible. The folder may be
located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password. The user is
not even getting to the point where she is asked for her username and
password. This is a remote user who authors pages on the site. We are using
FP2003 and the website resides on an IIS5.0 server. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi adrienne,

Is it necessary to try and open it under "https://" ? Will it open under
"http://" ?

Does the server have FP extensions enabled? They are required to open the
site "live".

Because the server is behind a firewall that she is outside of she has to use
https otherwise she will not be able to see the site. I can use http to
access the site, but because she is on another domain within the company I
had to set the https up for the site so users like her could access it. So
to make a short story long, no.

Has she configured FP to connect via SSL / https and has she add the domain to her Trusted Zone with
https checked?

Yes, FP server extensions are enabled. I am able to get to the site remotely
but my user can not, what she does in open frontpage and then goes to File -
Open Folder she then types in the website -
https//www.networkelements.ncs.att.com (a company intranet site) and she gets
the following error message :

The folder "https://www.networkelements.ncs.att.com" isn't accessible. The
folder may be located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password.
I am not sure of what you mean by live.

Trusted Zone, IE Tools | Internet Options | Security | Trusted Sites
Publish via https, you should see an option to set in the FP publishing dialog.

She should be using File Open Site (not folder)
- alternatively have her try
View Task Pane, then File Open Site (more sites from the Task Pane) and select it from network places or enter it, or
In IE browse to the site home page at https://www.networkelements.ncs.att.com and use File Edit w/ FP (that will also put it in her
File - Recent Sites)
