Remote Web Site Folder Properties

When FP2003 displays my Remote Web Site, the folder icons have a blue circle
over the manilla folder.
I cannot open the remote folders in FrontPage.
However, I can open the remote folders with my FTP Client.
These folders were created with a fresh publish of the entire web site.

Any ideas?

a blue globe on a folder means it's a subweb, a subweb is treated like a
separate web.

NOT sure how you would deal with subwebs with a third party FTP, but I know
you can't "open" them with ftp...you can publish to and from them with FTP
though.

Actually, I CAN open the folders and their respecitve sub-folders and view
the contents through the ftp client.

But more to the point, can I convert them from subwebs to regular folders?

With your main web opened in FP, in the Folder List select the folder with
the blue globe and RIGHT click, select Convert to Folder.

Here is what I get:
Cut (greyed out)
Copy (greyed out)
Paste (greyed out)
Arrange>
Rename (greyed out)
Delete
Publish Selected Files (greyed out)
Synchronize Selected Files (greyed out)
Don't Publish (greyed out)
Properties
Preview in Browser

Sounds like you don't have an actual web opened, just a page.

various files in root, all showing as unmatched

In my previous post, I right-clicked on "customers" and others.

Maybe I should just wipe out the remote site and republish the whole thing?
