Web Client/Temp files wont delete from disk cleanup.Had a
browser hyjack this morning.Deleted IEfeat from
add/remove programs,end processe of wudyacatch.exe from
task manager.Norton came out clean.Ran Ad-aware got rid
of 21 hyjack files,it also changed my homepage to
something like sys??32.dll .But when I run disc cleanup
it won't clear 54,000kb and growing Web Client/Temp
files, effects same for all users same amount and
growing. How do I get rid of these catche.cant find
anything in Kelly's fixes.Am I missing something or has
the .dll hyjack changed config somehow?

.
got mine working, after talking to some freinds.went out
on a limb,if you have your antivirus running I wouldn't
suggest this.Mine was taken down so a teen could play an
online game, also firewall was taken down.Problem was a
trojan virus.Norton couldn't find.deleated my norton it
was about to expire anyway, load one from microsoft's
update page at
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/windowsxp/antivi
rus.asp loaded the 12 month free from computer
associates.ran it ,it found 4 trojan infection and
removed them.restarted the computer and it started
working again.

Hi,
I just made a phone call & got to grips with WebClient as
mine wouldn't delete either, this is what I did & it
worked !!
start>control panel> (switch to classic view)
administrative tools>services>scroll down to "webclient"
if the status is "started ", R click & "stop" then L
click to view. At "startup" window move
to "disabled"...there it was..gone !!
As far as I & the people I spoke to can see, no system
components depend on this service, it's just something
running in the background..very annoying though !!Anyway
you can retrace your steps to put it back should stopping
it prove to be undesirable.
Regards
