temp internet files won't remove

Hi I have 208 files like this
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\wrstemp\SSMS0005AE596-1E77-4480-AA11-1A0D--AAD473.temp all
the files are the same up to the point SSMS then the rest changes according
to the file they go with. I have tried Internet options and disk clean and
anyother cleaning idea. I did a file search and found all the files and tried
to delete them and I got a mess. that said that the file was being used by
someone or a program. I have no idea what program that would use this. Does
anyone have any ideas?

Try deleting them while in Safe Mode.

Process Explorer can tell you which program has which file open. What you
do is search for 'handle". A handle is a data structure which shows details
about an open file.

I assume you are "fipsey" who posted this same question 2 days ago (with
only 116 temp files). Did you try deleting the files in safe mode or
using Unlocker as suggested in the answers there?

If that wasn't you, or if you tried those methods to no avail, are you

Go to the Tools menu, and click Internet Options. Click the Advanced
tab. In the "Settings" box, scroll down to the section labeled
"Security," and click to check the box next to the "Empty Temporary
Internet Files folder when browser is closed" option. Click OK to
finish. This option does not delete cookies, but it will clear your
cache of other files when you close your browser.
