wav sound

After installing some software I notice that some applications which use
wav-files don't play any wav files. Windows don't play wav-sounds at startup
etc. too. But the mediaplayer plays the wav-sounds. Get anybody help me?

Thanks

Hi Albert

(without knowing what you've installed, as a suggestion you could try this)

Depending on what software you installed, (I'm guessing they are to do with
audio or dvd players etc..etc) I would suggest that you look into the
options or preferences within the apps and uncheck .wav extensions that the
apps want to manage, then reboot and if all is back to normal, then re-check
them one by one and find the offending app, and if this is the case then
google your app for a solution.
