Sound problems

1. Sound card and speakers seem to be ok when I play a midi or wav with
Windows Explorer clicking.
2. Windows startup and shutoff sounds no longer play.
3.IE/OE: Sending mail with embedded WAV plays ok, but sending mail with at
MIDI doesn't (no sound)
4. Playing a WAV with a person speaking doesn't sound right - sort of
"tinny." A wav with music or a midi with music seems to sound ok.

Any ideas?

Nope, I'm wrong...
Number 1 is incorrect. Both midis and wavs sound tinny.....person speaking
or music both not right.
