Audio Volume Problem

ok here is the problem i am facing any time i play a file be it music or
video the sound plays but it is so low that i have to literaly pick up the
speaker and hold it to my ear. the volume is at max and so is wav and every
other possible setting the driver is installed and so are all the codecs. I
have tried diffrent speakers and ever headphones all to the same result. what
you yall suggest I try next?

Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>under the Volume tab
move the slider to High>click Apply>OK out. Hope it works :~)
If not, go to the manufacturers website for updated soundcard drivers.
