Audio Output problems

My speakers play system sounds, but they don't play anything else like music
or youtube sounds, and when I try to use the volume control, its says that
there are no mixer devices installed or that there is no audio output
installed. The speakers are working but it doesn't recognise that there is an
audio output device installed.

Hello,

Is this a newly formatted PC? If so, you need to install the drivers that
should have been included with your PC.

If not,
1) Try reinstalling the audio drivers from the drivers disc that should have
come with your PC.
2) Try doing a restore to the point where the problem was not there:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
3) Download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

Hey

I didn't need to follow your advice as I worked out I just needed to
uninstall the Realtec player/mixer thing and then download a new version.
Thanks anyway!

:)
