Waking up from Stand-By - Inspiron 8200

I have Dell Inspiron 8200 with WinXP Pro SP1
Due to some problems I had to re-install Windows including HD Formating
Ever since than, Stand-By Mode does not function in my NotePC
It takes about 30sec. to 1min. to go into Stand-By (before puter goes to sleep), and when its woken up by 'power' button the puter hangs. Funny enough mouse works(moves) but nothing happends
I even waited over 30 min. for it to load/restore all the system files, but still nothing happends
The only thing screen shows is bits and pieces of icons and the rest is black
Also, my network setting is not restored

I have, btw, upgraded with latest drivers on all H/W parts

Please HELP!! as I have to have my NotePC "ON" all day long, or Shut-down and Start everytime I want to use the puter...... :-(((((

Hi,

If you are sure you installed all drivers including chip set, modem and
network card, boot from the Dell supplied drivers, utilities and
applications cd and run diagnostics (blue cd)
