W2KSP4 continuous reboot

R

Rob

I just installed SP4 on a customer's Win2K server the installation goes on
with out any problems then I reboot as it asks. It boots up, gets to the
login screen then reboots itself it will continue to reboot, load, and
reboot over and over
It gives me the message
system is shutting down in (counts down from 60)
ntauthority/system
c:\winnt\system32\lsas.exe status code -1073741819

All updates were installed before the sp4 install
I cannot boot into safe mode either it will go through the login then just
hangs
If anybody has the remedy please let me know
Thanks
Rob

Your probably getting Blue Screen and have your computer set to
automatically reboot.

Dave Patrick said to do the following:

Are you saying you get a blue screen stop error? To be able to see the blue
screen stop message; Control Panel|System|Advanced|Startup and Recovery, I
usually like to uncheck "Automatically reboot" this way you get a chance to
read the stop error.

Had the same problem after sp4. We uninstalled PC anywhrere 9.0 from
safe mode and it worked. The prompt (I think F8) is very short to get into safe mode just
before the black & white meter lines goes across. It was difficult to find it.
