W2K SBS Licensing

One of my clients has a W2k SBS with 25 CALS. He recently hired some more
people and needs to go to 35 CALS. I purchased 2003 SBS CALS and was told
that you could call the fullfillment center to get the media, sinc, as we all
know, W2K SBS uses floppy disc's for licenses.
However, I am now told media is no longer available, but I could call some
phone number and Microsoft would help me install the paper CALS.
First I was sent to volume licensing... they knew nothing about it.
Then I wa sent to another person who wanted to know how i WANTED TO PAY the
$235 for support, to install the licenses I already paid for.
Then to India or Bangladesh or somewhere where they didn't speak English
much...just enough to say they couldn't help me, but they would transfer me
to someone who would. The phone rang, I was put on hold, and the system hung
up after about ten minutes...

Now that I'm finished venting.. sorry about that... does anyone know how to
add these CALS or what phone number to call to get some help ?

Hi Tom:

What you told us looks incredible, but plausible. Sadly you did not found
the right MS team and phone that can help you. I used to work for the
Spanish team in professional service of MS. Your case it is what we called
GENPASS and it takes no more that 5 min to provide you with the code to do
that, using a small utility that we had. In Spain you can open a case for
that issue for free, gratis, nada, zero cost,. In your case because you got
CALs from win 2003 to be used in win 2000, you should call a center called
clearing house, so that the licenses can be downgraded and activated for win
2000. At least this is what happens with the Terminal Server ones, becasue
win 2K CAL for TS, were not longer avail. I can be wrong in this point if
your CALs needs to be downgraded.
