W2000: Focus of "My Computer" icon

S

Seamus Moran

Hi.

When I select the My Computer icon and click it, it opens
(explores) a two pane window with the drives in one and
the folders of my 'C' drive showing in another.

I'd rather not have the 'C' drive folders displayed. I'd
like to change it to none, or to those of the 'D' drive
(where I keep my data.)

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Seamus

Update.

This behavior is associated with the value [ExploreFolder
("%1",$1,%S )] in Default for the DDEEXEC key for
Folder/Shell/Explore in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT as far as I can
make out.

Thank you for your help,
Seamus

Update - Hooray.

The solution is to replace the string below with:
[ExploreFolder("%l", %I, %S)].

I copied this from the Dolder/Shell/Open/DDEEXEc key.

Thank you,
Seamus
