Process File: vsmon or vsmon.exe
Process Name: True Vector Internet Monitor
Description: The True Vector Internet Monitor is a component of the
ZoneAlarm Personal FireWall which monitors internet traffic and generates
alerts.

Others have had the same problem, do a google search for vsmon.exe and you
will find a lot of discussion.

Vsmon is not a WindowsXP file or program. Vsmon.exe is

a "Spy" you've picked up on the Internet. It is not
harmful like a virus but should be deleted immediately
for it broadcasts info about your PC all over the WWW and
using up all your system resources, thus the slowing.
Go to below website and type SPYBOT in their Search
window and download it. After downloading it, install
and run it, you'll be surprised how much "junk" and spies
you have on your PC. Another similar program is Ad-aware.

It's part of Zonealarm, the firewall. It isn't a virus.

Right now vsmon.exe is using 7,168K on my machine.
As more rules are added the amount of memory it needs goes up.
402K isn't much at all.

Vsmon.exe is not a virus, spyware, worm or trojan.
It is part of Zonealarm. It runs when Windows runs.
