My system is a 1400 mhz athlon with 512 megs of ram.
I have 2 harddrives, c=120 gig, d=60 gig, both NTFS.
Free space c=25 gig, d=37 gig. I'm running NAV 2003,
Spy Bot and Zone Alarm. All software has the most
recent updates. OS is XP Pro Sp1a.
Here's the problem: After running for a few hours or
overnight, the system slows to 386 speeds and the hard
drive light is continually lit
Rebooting solves the problem for a while.
When this condition is active, I've tried shutting down
all programs on the task bar - no help.. I looked in
windows task manager and the only thing that stands
out is vsmon.exe, which is using almost all my ram. After
rebooting, it's only using 16 megs....
I did a google on vsmon and found out that it is a critical
part of Zone Alarm.
Help! Do I need to axe ZA and go with ICF?
