VPN connection always attempts to use Dial-up

When creating a VPN connection, I select Virtual Private
network connection, I enter a name for the connection and
enter the appropriate IP address....The
connection "thinks" its a modem connection and wants
to "dial" the ip address. When I look at the properties
of the connection, it shows connect using : MODEM. I am
unable to change it to use my normal network
connection???? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using network connection folder connection wizarrd for creating VPN
connection?
Please provide the platform you are using. I could able to create a VPN (not
a Dial-up one)
on Winxp and windows 2003 server.
