Volume to 100% when Lid on Laptop Shut

System: Dell Inspiron 8200, Windows XP Pro SP2 and all other patches, most
recent BIOS and sound card drivers from Dell. Action on lid shut in power
properties = None.

Each time I shut the lid on my Inspiron 8200, the master volume level is set
to 100%. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening each time I shut
the lid on my laptop?

You should probably contact Dell or at least check their forums for
this issue.

Please disregard... I think that this is a physical hardware problem.
