Vista won't go to sleep by itself

Can anyone help with this please?

I have the Vista power settings set so that my pc should go to sleep after
30 minutes. This always used to work until some months ago - -perhaps the
same time as I installed SP1 - so that now it runs continuously.

If I manually force the pc to sleep, there is no problem so I do not think
it is a wireless mouse problem etc as reported elsewhere.

Any ideas please?

Try updating your BIOS as well as the drivers of your devices.

Salvador, Thanks for your helpful reply.

However, in the meantime, I think I have fixed the problem by another means.
A friend suggested changing the Multimedia sharing setting to 'allow the
computer to sleep' and now it does, all by itself!

I wasn't aware that I had changed this setting but do recall opening the
Windows Media Centre some time ago - perhaps this made the change?
