vista users are vista losers

I can forgive someone who gets a new pc, or is forced to use vista... ok
they are not to be blamed.

But the vista fan & naysayers? Oh they are scum ....

First we had the Mac snobs, that always thought they were superior than all
others...
Why were they wrong? Can you say "incompatibility with most computer
systems"?

Then we had the linux liars.... saying things like "ubuntu is
user-friendly".... I guess
when they say "user" they mean 40 year old geeks with long hair and no life
that live in their mothers basement...

But wait.. now we have something even worse! Idiot vista fans! These are
scum of the lowest kind.
These guys claim that vista is faster and better than xp! When something
doesn't work on vista
its everyone else's fault but vista's. They actually like the most horrible
OS ever constructed by man... that belongs in the trash can!
Not only they do they have extremely bad taste, but they are totally
ignorant about computers!

While I can forgive Mac users and linux users and can understand their point
of view..
I cannot forgive the vista losers..... They should be on display in a museum
as examples of the devolution of man!

Vista users are vista losers!

The word about town is if anyone dates/marries kirk, they are losers and
could do much better. Imagine being with a mental midget and someone who
has to bash other people. Kirk, how is your anger management class going?
Has your parole officer explained all the rules to you? How is that ankle
tracking device? Can you sleep with it on?

When you do get placed in the community, will the other neighbors be
notified? How will you support yourself? Grocery store, Jiffy Lube,
janitor?

I remember when the same was said about Windows XP, you should stick to
Windows 2000....

Vista has it's advantages and disadvantages as does any OS.

Just because they use a MAC doesn't mean that they are snobs.

If they use Ubuntu or some other flavor of Linux, doesn't mean they are
liars.

If someone uses Vista, they are "Idiots" and "Losers"?

That's pretty harsh.

Vista really isn't that bad, it has it's compatibility issues, but what new
OS didn't have compatibility issues when it first came out.

I personally run Vista on my laptop and manage dozens of AD networks. I
wouldn't be running Vista if I couldn't work.

I haven't run in to any hardware issues as of yet, as far as software goes,
most of it works.

I do my due diligence to make sure the software that I am installing will
work with Vista, if not I contact the vendor to get an updated version that
will work properly with Vista.

Don't get me wrong, XP SP2 is great, but I chose to move on as did many
people with varying degrees of success.

Another reason I've moved to Vista is to get a head of the curve, so when
Vista is the only OS that is being shipped on new machines I can answer the
burning questions of my users.... "How do I do that 3D thing?"

Vista is a major departure in look, feel, and just how it works; does it
belong in the trash, not really.

Could it use some modifications, sure.

In all, Vista is a decent operating system and I like the fact that is it
more secure that any previous version of Windows released today.

Kind Regards,

OKuma

BTW:
I have users on my network that use a MAC, and have no problems
participating in my AD.
They can print, share files, authenticate, and connect to any of the network
resources.

I also have friends that use varying flavors of Linux, Ubuntu being one of
them.
They use Linux in a very specialized way, and that is where the strength of
Linux comes in.
I have to agree with you, Linux as your primary desktop, not yet.

My post does not apply to you Okuma... you are logical and polite and can
see a bigger picture.

I was referring to other people in here.. they know who they are.
They are the fanatics of vista... and that is bad...
just like fanatic linux or MacOSX users are bad....

You are open to all OS and understand than no OS is perfect.

As for vista I disagree with some features of vista's DESIGN.
Its not a matter of incompatibility, or bugs. Those will be fixed in
time....

What I disagree with, cannot be fixed with a service pack.
They can be fixed with a huge amount of customization
and hacking and third party applications .... but the average user cant do
that.

I normally do not reply to or bother with trolls kirk jim but I'll make an
exception in your case. I'm a 70 year old, probably a bit above average,
computer user who installed Vista Ultimate the day it was released, on one
of the many computers I have put together myself. The system is running
quite nicely and all of the programs and hardware I use are functioning
normally. I'm waiting for Creative Labs to finish updating the software for
my SB X-Fi Platinum so I can get my wind synth plugged into the front panel
aux jacks. I've had one minor glitch with my onboard wireless but a google
search and a couple of registry fixes took care of the problem. Just
because you don't seem to have the necessary intelligence to make Vista work
for you is not justification to refer to me as either scum or a loser, and
the fact that you chose to do so is a good indication to me of your lack of
maturity and judgment. I tried Linux but didn't like it. You can search
the internet from now until doomsday and you will not find a post from me
denigrating either Linux or the people who use it. I didn't want to use it
so I simply moved on with other things and have no need to visit Linux user
groups. My question to you is, why are you hanging around on a Vista news
group when you have nothing constructive to offer and obviously do not like
Vista?

K

kirk jim

Loopy its good to see that more mature people are in here...

If you like vista its ok .... you are not a vista fanatic as many of the
people in here...
Those are the people I was refering to as losers.. not you.

K

kirk jim

Sorry to be blunt and honest. If you think vista is superior,
has no flaws, it runs faster than xp and its everyone else's fault
(drivers and apps) whenever something does not work in vista...

if then you also go around newsgroups calling trolls whoever
disagrees with what MS has done in vista,

well then my post applies to you also.

I hope this is not the case.

K

kirk jim

there is a 64 bit verson of XP too.. whats your point?

64 bit OS can address more ram...

Can you not just accept that people are entitled to whatever opinion
they want ?

Oh its because I want to have the right to say my opinion about vista that I
am complaining about.

You see there are some guys in here that whenever you say something against
vista,
they call you a troll. Those are the vista fanatics I was talking about.
They are the ones who are trying to supress other opinions...

If you believe in freedom of expression, then Im with you on that....
as long as expression is not based on lies and misinformation.

You're correct, you have the right to say your opinion.

However the way you approach it is the issue. The people that we Vista
power users refer to as Trolls are those who use the attack and denigrate
tactic.

That's what you did right in your first post, you referred to those of us
who know how to properly work with the OS as losers and scum.

Some of us are hard working decent people who just happens to know how to
make things work properly.

When someone comes on here blasting the OS rather than asking for help then
they by definition are a troll. They are looking to cause problems rather
than get the answer that they need.

Usually they aren't actually experiencing the problem that they state in
their post, they just come here to get their kicks.

That being said why flame the community of users who could probably fix your
issue if you'd just ask nicely?
