same strange feeling in the stomach with linux now with vista...

On some distros of linux, I felt this disturbing strange awful wrenching
feeling in my stomach, because some things were incredibly painstaking to
install and make the work
as they should and the GUI was unfriendly, making you have to go through
loops just to do simple tasks. This is not a figure of speaking.. I actually
felt
physically bad!

I have to honestly say that I had the same feeling in the stomach with
vista....
From the start with the betas and RC's...
I was hoping that vista would not be like those and something
"magical" would happen and the final vista would be good.
However to my dismay, vista final was very similar to the RC's.

Vista just causes frustration.... programs wont work, things are not
compatible, and then you have the GUI that is very bad, UAC's in your face
all the time.

Where is the flow and ease of tasks XP had? Its gone...

PS its not that I cannot adapt. I can adapt very easy.. but that does not
mean I should LIKE what I see.... I know that it could be far better... and
it should be far
better.
I have put considerable time and effort into vista trying to force myself to
get used to it... because I keep thinking that its the new OS on the block
and you have too keep up with everythning new...
but what if the new things are worse?

Oh I know that there are some delusional users that think Vista is the best
thing since bread and butter... that will say that its anything else's fault
accept vista.
But of course they are wrong. I know more about vista and have had more
experience with it
than most people in these newsgroups. I have over 12 years experience with
computers..
Im no newbie...

And although I know that drivers and compatibility issues will be resolved
with time... what about the GUI?
Will a service pack fix that? OF COURSE NOT! They cant change it too
much.... so they are stuck with this bad design.

I have been able to tweak tweak tweak and force vista to work more like I
would like it too.. but I still cannot do any productive work on Vista yet.
I use XP.
Vista has been a huge waste of time up till now, I only hope that this time
wasting will have some use in the future...
That is the answer for all the naysayers that accuse me of not having
vista...
I have it, but I cant work on it.... it has too many problems still.

If I was posting from vista they would go on saying.. if you dont like Vista
then dont use it!
WELL THATS EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING GUYS, DAH.....

I want Microsoft to produce fantastic user friendly flexible products that
are smart. Im not anti microsoft...
but vista is a totally different thing. I cant just stand there and say lies
that its great and doest have serious design problems!

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
