OLPC and XP, why not vista?

MS wants to push its own agenda on the poor OLPC project...

http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Windows/Microsoft-Upbeat-about-Windows-on-the-OLPCs-XO/

they cant even leave that alone... and they cant because they know how
dangerous it is.

MS cant have millions of people start using Linux! They need every person to
get addicted to MS.

But they chose XP for it. I wonder why not Vista since Vista is their new
fantastic technology???

Is it perhaps that Vista is such a big monster that no matter HOW much they
try to hack it down, they wont be able
to make it work on such a small machine?

LOL Yes thats it... Thats exactly it.

The specs are just too low, and vista just needs too much resources.. its
impossible.

What does this tell us about XP vrs Vista?

XP is leaner faster, and its still the technology of choice.

I am sure you have some automated rule loaded with insult replies..

whenever a post comes in from me or alias you dont even have to reply
manually

the rule selects one of the hundreds of preconfigured insults and posts them
as if you were really there...

saves you time, effort and does the same job as you would

HAHAHAH!

Because MS openly declares that Vista needs more memory and more processor
power, both of which are limited in OLPC. So XP is obviously the better bet
for low power computers.

This is so obvious I can't believe you didn't see it. Clearly you just want
to take another pop at Vista.

It's getting ever so boring, you know, and it only makes you look a fool.
Is that really what you want?

Are they going to support the 'view current program's source code' button?

and you just love bashing Vista every chance you get. Vista is way over
your head. Try DOS. That should be your speed. Just FYI
